Mid to Senior-Level Engineer - Transportation

Job Summary: The Azalea Group is looking to grow our Greensburg, PA office and is searching for mid-level and senior-level engineers with PennDOT highway and traffic experience. 

Job Requirements:
• Apply diversified knowledge of engineering principles and practices to broad variety of assignments in related fields.
• Perform design activities on roadway and traffic related designs.
• Review developed plans for compliance with project requirements
• Provide direction and oversight to less experienced engineers and designers
• Prepare or modify reports, specifications, plans, permits, and designs for projects.
• Prepare job and material specifications
• Analysis of reports, maps, drawings, and tests, in order to plan and design projects.
• Use of CAD engineering and design software and equipment to prepare engineering and design documents
• Performs other duties as required

Education:
Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil / Traffic Engineering or approved equivalent required.

Experience:
• Mid-Level: Four (3-4) years minimum of engineering experience in the transportation industry. Engineer-in-Training (EIT) is required; Professional Engineer (PE) is preferred.
• Senior-Level: Twelve (12) years minimum of engineering experience in the transportation industry. Professional Engineer (PE) is required.

Knowledge Requirements:
• Civil, highway and / or traffic design and software.
• Working knowledge of CADD (MicroStation preferred; AutoCAD accepted)
• Knowledge of engineering principles, design standards and codes
• Familiarity with PennDOT and/or PA Turnpike Commission design standards

Typical Responsibilities:
